Jon Schmidt- my favorite piano Artist

I love Jon Schmidt's music! I have most of his piano books and can play a lot of his songs. His music can be fun and upbeat and also beautiful. Jon emailed me this video of his new song, Love Story meets Viva La Vida, and asked that I put it on my blog. I loved it when I heard it and can't wait to get my hands on the sheet music. AJ is a big fan of cold play so I can't wait for him to hear it as well. If you ever get the chance to go to one of his concerts, do!!! He's an amazing entertainer. We like to Move It Move It!

A couple weeks ago we rented Madagascar 2 for the kids and we had to rewind the end credits about 10 times. Arlo fell in love with the song 'Move it, Move it' by Will I Am, and was busting out some killer dance moves. It was pretty funny, since he usually doesn't dance to anything. Today I added the song to my playlist and Arlo started dancing while I was working on the blog. I ran to get my camera so I could get it on tape. I looked out the window.....

...and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree. Spring is officially here! It's a confirmation for me to see the trees in blume. I took these pictures from our backyard Apricot tree. The blossoms were beautiful. Also with spring comes Easter and what a beautiful day it was to celebrate. We started out going to church, coloring eggs, hunted for eggs, then headed to Mantua Lake for a walk, and ended with visiting family. Saturday we also went to the city park for the annual Brigham City Easter Egg hunt were we met the Easter bunny. Cache was having a great time till the bunny showed up and from there he wouldn't get out of the stroller and just wanted to go home. I just don't know what I'm going to do with that kid. Well, I hope everyone had a great Easter!

A Day Outside

I've posted a lot today, (so be sure to keep scrolling down) but I have a ton of pictures that I can't leave off. These pictures are going out especially to Nanny LyLy (you might want to grab a kleenex nanny cause I'm pretty sure you're going to need it!) So here's one more slide show. I took these pictures today while we were outside enjoying the beautiful evening. I decided to experiment with my camera and took all the pictures with sepia. By the end of the photo shoot Arlo didn't want any more pictures taken and boy was he mad! But I didn't care, I kept snappin away.

Game Day!

Arlo had another soccer game today and it didn't go too well. I think we lost 20-0!! Oh well! Here's a couple little clips of Arlo bringing down the ball. These kids are so fun to watch. You definately get your daily dose of laughs.

And no, Arlo's not peeing, he's pouting. When I asked him what was wrong he said that his faster shoes are broke and he's not going faster anymore. Time for new faster shoes I guess!

True Joy!

AJ and I have always been happy but we never experienced true joy until we had kids. Here they are - my true Joy in life.

Another day on the Slopes!

What a fun day we had this week with Jamie and Michael, AJ's sister and brother-in-law. They flew in from Portland for a couple of days and we took them skiing up to Powder Mountain. It wasn't the best weather day, we experienced some sleety snow and heavy fog. So foggy at the top of the mountain that you literally couldn't see 5 feet in front of you. It was pretty creepy knowing that any moment you could ski right off a cliff! The fresh snow also brought in some heavy powder that was a challenge for all us beginners. Despite the weather we had a blast. It was Jamie's first time and she did way better than AJ on her first couple of runs. Although I can't say the same for getting off the lift!! Ohhhh the memories and the laughs that we will cherish forever. Thanks Jamie and Michael for a wonderful day! We can't wait to tear up the mountain with you again.
