I just love my boys!

Here are some recent photos of the boys.
It was crazy hair day at preschool. I had to bribe Arlo to let me do this.

This kid is all smiles all the time. He's such a joy!

Cache thinks he's pretty hot stuff (I do too!)

Poor Cam, he inherited his mother's large head. He'll be the smartest of the bunch.

My Want List

All of you moms out there know that as a mom you see to everyone else's need and wants before your own. Well today I wrote my want list and I want to share it with all of you. But before I get to that I want to tell you about me. The last couple of months I haven't been too happy with myself. I have let myself become overweight and wasn't doing much about it. I wanted to do something but lacked the motivation and the know how. Most of my life I have been athletic and haven't had to diet or exercise outside of my sports that I participated in, and now after I've had 3 kids I've fallen off the wagon. I can't use the excuse "I've tried everything" because the truth is I have never tried to loose wight. Well I'm getting sick of lying to myself. Today I'm embarking on my wants and needs. My work announced that they were doing a Biggest Loser contest and I jumped to the opportunity. I think it will be easier for me if I'm held accountable. And that is why I'm writing this blog, I want to be held accountable with all of you. Today I went to my first weigh in and learned my current weight, body fat percentage, and my BMI. I'm going to be brave and tell you all! My Height 5'11", Weight 225, Body Fat 40%, and BMI 31. I am considered obese! What an eye opener, but I won't be for long. I am officially motivated. Here is picture of me taken in 2001 right before I got married:

And here is a picture of me today, January 27, 2009:

This is What I Want:

I want to.....
wear a size 12-14 again
weigh less than 180
not feel my stomach when I sit
have more confidence in myself
run a mile
have the confidence to do "you know what" with the lights on
feel sexy again
be an example to my kids
not lie to myself anymore
exercise everyday
eat less and more healthy
inspire others
wear cute clothes
I want AJ to be proud of me for accomplishing my goals
I want TO BE PROUD OF MYSELF!
I want to cross off everything on this list

The other day when I was watching the Biggest Loser on TV, I was so proud of myself for eating an apple instead of making me a bowl of ice cream with my kids. Sounds silly but I was really proud of myself. This is my game plan - to ask myself if I will be proud of myself if I eat that, and exercise at least once a day if not two times daily. Thanks for reading and please help me to be accountable for this goal I have set for myself. And if anyone would like to jump on this wagon with me, let's do it together. Write down your Want list and read it everyday.
Love you all for your support! I'll keep everyone updated on my progress.

Halloween pictures?

Yes, these are Halloween pictures. I'm trying to get familiar with the blogging world and wanted to figure out how to do the cute slideshows. I figured my family in Oregon hasn't seen any pics from Halloween so I choose those for my first experiment with photobucket. Thanks to Laurie for helping me work out some kinks.

Everyday Life

So I wanted to elaborate on the picture behind my title. Something like this happens just about everyday around here and as a mom it's pretty hard to keep my cool most of the time. I was pretty upset this day but I'm glad I got it on camera because I look back now and laugh. I love that my boys are so full of life! They have given me many priceless memories and I wouldn't trade these funny little moment for anything. The best way to describe what goes on in our home is "Loving Chaos" and yes it goes on from "Son up to Son down". When I brought Arlo and Cache inside to clean them up I found even more surprises than just on their faces.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a little girl. I just know she would be sooo well behaved, never get into trouble, my perfect little angel. Yeah right, huh! At this point if one comes a long she's going to have to be petty tough to keep up these big brothers.

Dial-up days are over!

Today we got HIGH SPEED, baby, and it's like going from the outhouse to indoor plumbing!! So now I can blog because now it doesn't take 2 hours to upload a photo. So here's the first test. Let's see how long it will take to post this Picture on my new up and coming blog. And by the way, if there are a lot of type errors, it's because my keyboard doesn't work too great. I'm going to go back to the old because I'm sick of watching what I type to make sure all the letters are getting in. So with that said here are the Andersen boys!
