First Day of School!
Yesterday was Arlo's first day of Kindergarten and I don't know who was more excited,
me or him! He got up bright and early, got dressed himself, ate breakfast,
brushed his teeth, put his magnets up on his "to do" list, and declared he was ready.
When I dropped him off, he didn't even hesitate and ran right into his classroom,
sat next to his name and pulled out a picture he colored for his new teacher the night before.
He was so proud to give it to her (my little boy, the brown noser!).
It was a very weird, yet pleasant, quiet day for me.
It was nice to spend some quality time with just Cache and Cam.
I did miss Arlo as the day went on and I couldn't wait to pick him up and hear about his day.
I was waiting for him 20 minutes early!! When he loaded up in the car
he couldn't stop talking about his new friends, what he ate for lunch,
and the games he played at school. He's going to love it!!
(Me too! Does that make me a bad mom? I couldn't understand why all the
Cowabunga Bay Baby!!!
Summer was coming to an end for Arlo and we wanted to take one last
adventure before he started school.
We decided to go to Cowabunga Bay in Draper and boy did we have fun!!
It's a brand new water park and it was seriously very cool!!
Arlo was big enough to go on the slides by himself and
Cache could ride down the bigger ones on our lap.
Arlo's favorite part was the Lazy River.
I think he went around that thing a 100 times! He hasn't had any
formal swimming lessons and he did amazing at swimming on his own.
He stuck his face in the water and paddled with his arms in a front crawl.
That kid is a natural when it comes to athletisism! It was fun to watch him.
As for Cache, we couldn't keep him off the slides.
He loved this little pink slide and went on it, I swear, 30 times in a row.
Everytime he got off he ran over to AJ and I, gave us a high five,
said he wanted to go again, then skipped back in line.
Everytime it was the same thing. I had to bribe him to leave that little pink slide.
It was a great day and ended with Panda Express and Cold Stone.
Cam the Independant!
Here's a couple pictures of Cam eating spaghetti all by himself!
He loved holding the fork and now it's like pulling teeth to get him to let me feed him.
Softball
AJ and I were on a Co-Ed softball team this summer.
It was a lot of fun to play again and especialy to play together.
Our team was sponsored by Les Schwab.
AJ was on the team last year when I was 9 months pregnant so
this was the first year I played.
We ended up taking 2nd place!! Way to go Les Schwab!
